As part of my role I engage with Stakeholders from across IT, the Business and Finance in order to agree the Total Cost of Ownership of Platforms within the bank such as Datacentres and Storage. This helps all of the 3 speak a common language and understand the true and total cost that has been agreed upon by all parties.
Another element to my role is identifying and reporting on possible cost saving opportunities, these reports are then showcased to Senior Stakeholders who are then to drive out certain colleague behaviours in order to result in a cost reduction.
I am also the communications manager for the TBM Office and so I am responsible for ensuring our end users are being communicated with relevant and timely information on updates to the tool and new elements of Apptio they can utilise and enjoy.
I also really enjoy the dynamics of the team and how we know that support is always available if required. My current position allows me to take responsibility and ownership of tasks that I see out to completion which in turn gives me recognition and builds on my management and leadership skills.
The one event I presented at that I received recognition by the Head of Group IT was a digital champion event where I was told to present on the digital champion initiative at the last minute in front of all the Team Leaders and Service Leads in the Pudsey building.
