My best advice would be for you to make sure you tie in what LBG does into your application. Make sure to tie in the company values too as these are very important to the company. Also, make sure that you research LBG so that your experiences and what you talk about are tailored to the company. Just be yourself, be honest and genuine as those are the types of employees LBG is looking for. Good luck!

I would also say to make sure that you choose the most relevant aspects of your past successes and experiences to the role you are applying. The first stage of the application process also involves completing the online assessment which will give you a further opportunity to demonstrate your strengths and what you can bring to our Group. Best of luck! If you have any further questions regarding the application process, please don’t hesitate to ask them here on the platform.

Thank you Matt and Matthew for taking your time to reply. Matthew, you mentioned the opportunity to demonstrate the strength during the online assessment. Does it need to be in line with the LBG values as Matt touched on that? Appreciate your time.

Hi Joya, Yes, the first stage of the recruitment process does involve an online assessment. These tests might include situational judgment exercises asking you to rank a selection of responses in order or demonstrate your preferences. They are very easy and straightforward. The aim of this is to assess your strengths. Now answering your question: the alignment with LBG values is important, but it’s also important to be true to yourself so just be honest. This will help you achieve a consistency of your answers and strengths demonstrated across all recruitment stages. Therefore, I would use LBG values to think more about why you want to work here etc, but when focusing on your strengths and what are you good at - just be yourself and make sure your personality shines through elements of the application process!

Hi Yassine, Lloyds Banking Group offers sponsorship within particular skills areas. For Graduate schemes, it is Technology Engineering and Data Science and Analytics. Both of these programmes are still open for applications. The closing date for applications is 30th November 2023. Hope that helps! Matthew

Hi there, need to ask one more question. Hope you don't mind. Can you please give me some idea about work simulation at LBG? I've come across it for the first time. Thank you in advance

Hi Yassine, here is the link to apply for all our programmes: https://lbg.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/Graduate_careers?source=org-bing-via-et-site Please mind that we will only accept one application per candidate, per year. For this reason, my advice would be to apply to the most preferred location and scheme.

Hi Joya, Job Insight Assessment (the job simulation) is the second step in our application process and is an opportunity for you to further demonstrate your skills while learning more about LBG. It takes around an hour so I would recommend choosing the time when you feel energised and do not feel tired after a long day. It contains the elements of a typical online video interview but you will also be asked to complete some other tasks relating to data analysis or written responses. These could be emails or decision making in multiple scenarios relating to the work we do at LBG. If you feel that you are still not confident about the job simulation, my advice would be to have a look at our Assessment Practice Zone as it will give you a lot of insight into this assessment. Here is the link: https://lbg.preparationplus.com/ Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know.

Hi Matthew, appreciate your allocated time to review the question and reply as well. You've explained very well. Just want to ask one more thing about assessment. Does it involve extensive amount of coding or will I be required to be master in any programming language for technology engineering graduate scheme? Thank you very much
