When I was looking at graduate schemes, I was super interested in the breadth of opportunity there is available at LBG. Whether it's Commercial / Retail / Insurance / Support Functions e.g. Risk and Finance, there's a huge range of roles and teams that can provide you with a really varied and interesting career. I had also heard really positive feedback from other people who worked at LBG regarding the culture, and everyone I met during the process stages were super friendly and welcoming. I would say after almost 9 years of being here that all of those things are still true - hence why I'm still here :)!

When researching Graduate schemes, the company culture was a big factor for me and through my research I found that LBG's people-first approach really resonated with me. From speaking to different people across the Group, I found that everyone praised the LBG culture and how friendly and welcoming everyone is! In my research, I also found that there is lots of opportunities for personal development whether it be through your LM, through professional qualification or the rotations on the Grad scheme. Another big factor which made me want to work here is the importance given to enviornmental and social responsibilities and the partnerships we have.

I was drawn to LBG for several reasons: LBG is one of the few banks with two graduate schemes dedicated to sustainability, showing its commitment to environmental responsibility. The bank aims to reduce carbon emissions from financed activities by 50% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2050, with net zero operations by 2030. These ambitious goals align with my values and career aspirations. Additionally, LBG deploys sustainability graduates across the business to drive change from the ground up, supporting them with data and storytelling skills to promote sustainability.
