Hi, thanks for your question! The day in a life of a corporate banking analyst/ associate varies greatly depending on your rotation . You would be involved in 3 different major areas during the graduate programme including Relationship Management (covering a specialist sector), Risk, and a product (including Global transactional solutions, financial markets, debt structuring). You could be involved in managing corporate client relationships, creating client presentations, financial modelling, deep product knowledge. You could work with strategy teams, different sector heads and partners including sales and platforms within Lloyds.

Thank you so much for the response. I really like the idea of rotations as it would give me an oppuritunity to gain knowldge in different areas. Following a grad scheme, and upon successful offer of a more permanent contract type, would you primarily work in just one of these areas? And is there opportunity to move outwith these areas, should you not find them enjoyable during rotations?

No problem! Yes of course, you are not tied to just Corporate Banking! You may choose to work in a different area. Your skills and knowledge you would have developed will be valuable anywhere within the bank :). If you do decide to work within these areas there are still options to. You may also want to work in these areas for small to medium clients instead of corporate clients.

Thanks again. It's really good to know that within the bank as an employee i would be able to explore other areas. I am currently a STEM student with little finance knowledge so this has been assuring to know i would be given the opportunity to find the best fit for me within the company. Thanks Again

I studied Politics and International Relations, so don’t worry you don’t need to have deep financial knowledge! Your degree reflects the ability to learn and it is something that you can learn on the job. The finance sector have employees from many educational backgrounds.
