For me I wanted to join an organisation that I felt was more than just simply ’doing business’ but wanted to try and help make a difference to the communities the business serves. You can really feel when your working for Lloyds it’s purpose of Helping Britain Prosper is fulfilled whether it’s through their social housing initiatives (an area I get to partner!) or it’s commitment to sustainability. As for HR I fell into it by accident! I undertook a placement at my university undertaking HR roles as a previous placement fell through and I absolutely loved it and knew it was the career for me!

I chose to apply for the graduate programme at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) because of the incredible opportunities and the exciting strategy the Group has recently adopted. We are currently undergoing one of the largest financial services transformations, with a £3 billion investment into our people, technology, and data. This transformation is truly inspiring and offers a dynamic environment to grow and learn. Additionally, whether it’s in HR or Business Banking, Lloyds offers a wide range of areas to get involved in. The same goes for extracurricular and volunteering opportunities, which are abundant and diverse. This variety ensures that there’s always something new and exciting to explore and contribute to at LBG. After having been here for a year, I can only confirm that's all true!

Hi, great question! Lloyds really appealed to me because they are such a reputable brand and I felt a draw to work for a company I could put my trust in and be proud to work for. I was drawn to their charity work, especially their partnership with the Woodland Trust and Crisis.
