Hey,
Thanks for your question! I’m happy to share my experience with flexible working.
At LBG, we have a hybrid working policy where you’re expected to be in the office 40% of your working time, which usually means about two days a week. You can come in more often if you like, but most people stick to the two days. It’s pretty flexible, so you can often choose which days to come in, although some teams have specific days when everyone tries to be in the office together.
Personally, I haven’t found the 40% requirement too difficult to meet. I live relatively close to the office, and our new Leeds office is really nice, and well located. Other hubs are also getting similar investments to make them better places to work, which is great. When I’m in the office, I try to make the most of it by arranging face-to-face meetings and catching up with colleagues and other grads.
We also have a flexible summer policy where for six weeks during July and August, unless there’s a business need for you to be in the office (like a team event), you don't need to stick to the 40% rule. You can work from anywhere in the UK, and even abroad for up to 20 days (if you're eligible).
I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
