Hi Farah,

Although I am not in data science graduate scheme, I feel assessment centres are designed to test on different level of skillsets, like technical and soft skills. I'll say that saying your answers confidently and demonstrate that you are eager to learn new skills can be a highlight on getting successful during the assessment centre stage

The assessment centre covers a lof of domains, not only technical skills. Technical skill definitely plays an important role - thus it's important to have a solid understanding of the concepts in DS and DE. However, it's also important to demonstrate your motivation and interest in the programme and alingment with LBG's values. Finally, being comfortable with team work, as there's likely to be a group exercise - nothing to be worried, though!

Thank you! Did you have any prior experience to your role in LBG such as internships and do you think that helped?

I did and I think it helped me - having worked in DS projects before surely helps. However, this is not a requirement and it's not the case for the majority of people who joined the DS scheme.

It might help you during your application - the stage prior to the assessment centre had coding questions analogous to LeetCode. Overall, (Python) programming knowledge is benefitial for the DS application in general

From my end, I used to practice leetcode in general not specifically targeting towards assessment centre. A general idea of coding, understanding of the DS and DE concepts will be great!!

Ensured I had well tailored stories that highlighted my sof and hard skill and it was also in sync with my motives and LBG values. On the technical side, refreshed some of the modelling approaches, understading their theories, etc. FInally, there will be an assessment centre mock, which is quite helpful
