Data Analyst apprenticeship is 18 months- Will a new contract be offered after the 18 months?

I am interested in doing the Data Analyst apprenticeship for Lloyds. However, I'm a little puzzled on the fact that it's only 18 months long whereas lots of firms offer a 3-4 year contract. Is this 18 month on a lower level qualification e.g Level 4 where there's a chance to move onto a Level 6-7?

It iss a HNC qualification at level 4 and there is the possibility to progress to a level 6 afterwards for those who are wanting to continue studying.
