Penultimate year of study and integrated masters

I'm on my second year of a four year course with an integrated masters. My university has told me that if I can get an industrial year placement, I will be able to swap to a scheme with a year in industry. However, this technically means that I am not in my penultimate year of study. Does anyone know if this is still acceptable for the placement?

Hi Matthew, well it really does depend what the length of the new course would be, so if it's the same as the current one of 4 years, then yes, as long as your penultimate year will be in the year of the placement then you could apply for next years intake 2024 start date. If the course is shorter then you would not be eligible for the Industrial Placement as you would then be currently studying your penultimate year.
