Why did you choose LBG?

I chose to apply for the graduate programme at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) because of the incredible opportunities and the exciting strategy the Group has recently adopted. We are currently undergoing one of the largest financial services transformations, with a £3 billion investment into our people, technology, and data. This transformation is truly inspiring and offers a dynamic environment to grow and learn. Additionally, whether it’s in HR or Business Banking, Lloyds offers a wide range of areas to get involved in. The same goes for extracurricular and volunteering opportunities, which are abundant and diverse. This variety ensures that there’s always something new and exciting to explore and contribute to at LBG.

I joined LBG as a graduate in 2015 because of (i) the incredibly wide ranging nature of LBG and its activities (e.g. Retail, Commercial, Insurance); and (ii) the culture/people. Both of these points still ring true and are a huge factor in why I love to work here. Firstly, LBG has been on such a journey as Matthew's response has highlighted which has only created more avenues for opportunity to work in different banking areas/disciplines. Secondly, the people who work here are so supportive and really do give you their time to help you learn and grow. There's so much that a career at LBG can offer you!
