I would say definitely do your research and have a clear understanding why you want to work in this area. Make this clear in the interview but also emphasise how your civil engineering knowledge will support your success in this area, such as the soft skills you have acquired :)

Hey, I also have a degree in engineering. I would recommend looking at the transferable skills e.g. great in teams due to experience in a variety of group projects.

Hi - I have just completed a BSc in Mathematics and am currently pursuing an MSc in Data Science. I am interested in pursuing a Data Scientist Graduate role within LBG. Could you describe the culture at LBG, particularly regarding innovation and experimentation in data science? Thank you.

There are people who work in quant and this an option on one of my rotations. I’m unsure about risk insurance. There are quants in Lloyds and this was one of my placement options. I’m not sure about risk insurance.

As a graduate rotation I would have just chosen it from a list but if you were interested in it as a full time role I believe that you would need to have a good basic understanding of code. I would recommend checking out the specific requirements on any job advertisements.
