Hi there! Applied to HR scheme, I'm curious to know if your DE&I team has done any projects on intersectionality at LBG?

Hi Verity, yes there a plenty of DEI projects and they intersect with many other areas. One of the examples in HR function (People & Places) is our quarterly P&P DEAL (Drop Everything and Learn) day. The last time we did it, we focused on disability and neuro-inclusion, including how it intersects with other diversity dimensions. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from our colleague panel, have open and honest conversations, ask questions, and reflect on how we can create a more inclusive workplace. In addition, there was an upskilling session for line managers which we piloted in our HR function. In summary, there are plenty of opportunities to take part in these types of initiatives but also help with organising and delivering them as an HR graduate!

Hiya! Yes intersectionality is really important within DE&I. For example, Social Mobility is a big new focus strand for the group which we have found overlaps with many other diversity strands too and the DE&I team are currently doing a lot of work here on this.Outside of this, the networks we have at LBG often work with each other too. Such as our breakthrough network (for women) collaborating on work and events with various other networks such as even recently the BOLD network (black employee network). Outside of this - all diversity strands within the team at Lloyds: LGBTQ+, Social Mobility, Race, Disability, Gender and Family. All work very closely together which can help with intersectionality too.
