It depends on your learning style, I'd say, thus it could vary from books - a good one is Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning from Bishop, to MOOCs and YouTube videos on the topic - there are a lot of good ones here, from prestigious universities such as MIT, Harvard to other channels such as StatsQuest. Regardless of your learning style, I'd highly recommend practising those skills in personal projects. It not only solidifies your understanding of the concepts and topics but also showcases your enthusiasm and work - it's also a nice thing to talk about during the assessment centre
