Thanks for your questions. Not a specific Summer Internship for first years. You need to be in your penultimate year. However, you may be able to do some Insight Days to get some experience. Details will be on the website

Thank you, would I be able to do a summer internship in my penultimate year, do work experience else where, and still have a scheme where I am offered a job if I get a certain grade in my final year, e.g. 2;1?

Yes if ou are on track for a 2;2 or above you can apply for a graduate role. The Industrial Placemenst will stand you in good stead for the graduate process as it is very similar. The experience you gain in the placement as well as work experience is invaluable

What are the types of roles you offer with that type of experience on a graduate role? For reference I am a bhs hons business management student at Manchester Metropolitan University.

There are lots of graduate schemes available covering most of our business areas. They range from HR to Corporate Banking/Business and Commercial Banking and Actuarial to Data Science. To find out more about each check out the website. You do not have to have a particular degree subject for most of them (except Occupational Psychology) so as long as you are on track for 2:2 then you can apply for any one of them. We only allow one application per person per season.

My advice would be that closer to the time when vacancies are open read through all the job descriptions to see which aligns to you best. There is also a tool on the website for you to make comparisons between schemes which may help you decide. All our schemes are very customer focused as one of the key values id Customer First. I don't know all the details of all the schemes to be able to say which may suit you best. You may find that during your university course other things may stand out as being enjoyable or a strength so you don't need to decide now.
