Hi Angela, I was placed in Bristol for my first placement too, and found it very difficult to find any 8-month contracts. I would recommend that you try spareroom.com to try and find flexible landlords who may offer shorter contracts.

Hi Kittiwish, how far away from the office was your accommodation?

20-30 mins walk from Clifton to Canons House (Harbourside).
My postcode was BS8 though. Close to the University, with loads of restaurants in the area.

There are a few different areas you might consider based on budget-

Clifton/Redland: 20-30 mins walk
Harbourside: 1 min wallk (really expensive!)
City Centre: 15-20 mins walk
Southville/Bedminster: 20 mins walk

Was it easier to find shared accommodation or place just for yourselves?

A lot cheaper to find shared accommodation as you can split bills and rent costs! I found it quite easy to find people to share with on Spareroom.
