Given that LBG is a very big organisation, did you observe any cultural differences between commercial and risk?

Hi Erikas, thanks for your question. I have been fortunate enough to work in both Commercial and Risk. I wouldn't necessarily say there are any major cultural differences as we are all working towards the same goal, to do the best for our customers and to ensure we play a part in Helping Britain Recover after the pandemic.

Hi Erikas, risk teams play a central role in all teams I've seen or worked with so far (obviously risk management is vital in banking). I'm on the CB grad scheme and there's a specific risk rotation on this grad scheme so yes, they'll be very culturally aligned. However, the CB risk rotation is often directly in credit risk. Whereas, I think the Risk grads might rotate in other types of risk too (business, operational, environmental etc.).

Hi Sophie, Could you let me know what are the most common buzzwords in risk right now?

Sustainability is a huge focus in Risk at the moment!
