How well supported did you feel by LBG in your different placements?
Additional information
I am applying to LBG having graduated a few years ago and having spent a few years in an unrelated industry. And did you at any point feel that there was something you wished you had looked into or had more knowledge of before starting?

Hi, so I studied Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering before applying to LBG. I also applied the year after graduating so I wasn't "fresh out of uni" per se. There are also lots of other SwE grads who didn't come from a CompSci background, so it shouldn't be a worry if your background isn't what you think it should be. Your experience in other industries can actually be used to your advantage, it's always good to have other viewpoints and ideas - all of which would have formed from your time elsewhere. So long as you have the required skills on the job ad, I would think about what strengths you have, and how your time in other industries has contributed to them. LBG has a strengths based assessment, so really work out how you can link the skills you have to the job role, but don't worry about being older/from another industry - more often than not it's seen as a plus!

Hi Jenny, thank you so much for that detailed answer. I have worked closely with directors of a small company for my whole working life and graduated in 2015, so not a massively long time, but certainly too long for other graduate schemes I have seen in the past, so what you've said is certainly reassuring

Your experience in business will bode you well! so long as you've got the tech skills requested in the job ad, you'll do great! reflect on how your experience is valuable, how it sets you apart, and how it will be beneficial within LBG

Thank you so much for your advice Jenny! To briefly respond to your final answer, a lot of what I have experienced will be beneficial within LBG I am sure, and I have passed the coding exam with a high mark, so I believe I know what I need to know for now, and am obviously excited to learn more in the scheme.
