Afternoon Richard! Apologies for the delay in response - the email notifying me about this Q only landed today, so sorry about that.
My role is an analyst in the corporate and institutional debt team (big companies basically) and my daily work involves working on debt deals for these companies (usually about 4-6 active each week). That will include reviewing annual reports, financial accounts and management information in order to write credit papers and build financial models to see whether or not we should lend to said company.
A graduate on the CB scheme will do four 6month rotations within CB totalling 2 years. 1 in coverage (relationship management) 1 in product (like the one I'm doing right now) 1 in Risk and then you can choose to do either coverage or product as your last one. I'm only on my first rotation but am loving it so far, would highly recommend. I'm not well placed to say how a typical day for a graduate in coverage & risk would go as I haven't worked in those areas (yet!)
Hope this helps but happy to answer any further questions if you have any.
