What sort of skills or certifications should I get or develop to qualify for a graduate role?
Additional information
I am currently pursuing my Master's in Microelectronics but I would like to join the banking sector in risk management or retail banking. I want to know the probability of whether a person with zero finance background can get into your graduate scheme if I am able to develop the required skills or certifications. Thanks in advance.

Hi Rishi, have a look at the entry requirements for the Graduate scheme that most interests you, as that will help you understand the qualifications required.
However, what I will say is that Lloyds Banking Group look for talented graduates with fresh thinking and recruit from a diverse pool of talent.
Through your studies you will be gaining invaluable knowledge and developing key transferable skills that will help you to be successful within your chosen career. It is important that you take the time to understand these and bring them alive within your application.
Personally I completed a business management degree and then a masters in international business prior to joining the Graduate scheme. During my studies I didn't specifically cover financial services; however, I did develop transferable skills, which I included within my application and brought to life during my interview.
It is also important to understand what your personal values are and how these align to the Lloyds Banking Group values.
