Product Manager (Consumer Banking Graduate Scheme)

Hello, Thanks for your question. Absolutely! Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), welcomes applicants from all academic and professional backgrounds, including healthcare, for our graduate schemes. Your passion for the role, willingness to learn, motivations and alignment with LBG’s values are more important. Find a scheme that aligns with your interests and where you think you can bring your unique skills to the table. Most schemes don’t require a specific degree or experience, so don’t let that deter you. Your background in healthcare could provide you with unique insights and skills that could be beneficial in the Finance/Banking sector. I would suggest focusing on your transferable skills such as problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and leadership which are highly valued in any role. Just like you, I didn't have a financial or banking background. I studied Business and Psychology at university and had work experience in charities, healthcare, hospitality, and education. Of course, there is a learning curve and new concepts to learn, but there is enough support and resources to make it a manageable and enjoyable experience. It helps that Lloyds is quite relaxed as a workplace, so although we work at pace, there's always time for a chat and a cup of tea with a friendly face as theres always someone who is willing to help. Remember, this is as much about your journey and growth as it is about what you can bring to LBG. I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
