Why did you choose to work in this industry?

Hey there! I have been studying Computer Science in university and wanted to pursue a career in technology, so doing a placement with Lloyds Banking Group was the perfect opportunity for me to see if this is what I should do after I graduate. My inner interest into the field of Finance made me choose a financial institution rather than pure technological company. What comes with financial institution which excited me even further is the fact that your work has instant and direct impact on millions of people. You can feel how your work contributes to the community and makes the change on a daily basis. In addition, as there is great responsibility in what is being done in LBG you get to work along some of the smartest people in the field and use the best technologies, making sure that what you deliver is of highest quality. I recognised this as a huge advantage of the industry and great way to learn and further develop my skills. Highly recommend the industry if you want to have a dynamic and exciting work life full of challenges that will push you to become a better version of yourself every day!
