Are there options for the rotations? Or are they just assigned to you? How soon did you start studying for your professional qualifications?

The professional qualification for the Risk Management scheme is the ICA Diploma in Risk Governance & Compliance. You complete 4 x 6 month placements across a variety of different risk types, such as credit/fraud & financial crime/analytics/risk & compliance management... there is a degree of flexibility within each of those categories but all graduates need to complete one of each!

Professional qualifications are usually kicked off a couple of months after joining!

Thanks Sophie! What's the most valuable lesson you've learnt so far? Is there anything you wish you knew whilst you were applying?

I’m especially interested in the Data Analytics and Robotics areas of risk. What software is used for this? What are the key skills required?

I think the most valuable lesson is to take any opportunities that come your way whether that be in your current role or on the side of your desk...
