Risk Community Manager
Hi Rena, day to day duties would depend on the team that you work in. On the Risk Management scheme, you will complete placements across a variety of different risk types, for example credit risk, fraud and financial crime, market risk. You could be analysing credit papers, working on statistical models, looking at the Group's approach to fraud management!

Thank you, Rhys! Also, what does your day-to-day life look at within risk? Having read the job description, the role includes making the risk management process more efficient via AI and robotics. could you please elaborate on what that risk management is and how are Lloyds using robotics to do this? does one need to know how to code?

And also I'd like to ask that what the risk management team particularly helped with during the pandemic and the main trends for RM in the future?

Sahil - my current placement is one within Risk Strategy Implementation so haven't been completely close with AI world but know a bit... so for one example we're using it in Fraud detection and prevention, and also as part of our credit approval processes so it helps make the process more efficient. You aren't expected to need to know any coding - it'll all be learning on the job if required!

Rena, the Business Support Unit is a team which sits within our Risk Function, and they're the people who have been helping businesses who've suffered financial difficulty for whatever reason (so not just direct result of pandemic). Additionally we have continued to supply loans to businesses to help them in their operations - you can find out more here https://www.lloydsbank.com/business/coronavirus.html
