A typical day starts with a stand-up meeting (15 mins) to check in with everyone in your team & see if they've hit any blockers with their tickets. I'll then start work on my tickets (tasks) and will often ping/have some quick impromtu calls with other team members if I get stuck. There's also some training that I'm still completing as I'm new, so I spend a part of my day doing that. There are team demos every fortnight to show business colleagues what we have developed in that sprint, and then sprint planning to decide what tickets we need to do for the next sprint. There's also some side of desk projects you can get involved with too including learning new coding languages, helping with events such as this, and charity stuff :)

Hi Jenny, other than that, is there any framework / technology stack I should get myself familiar before joining the graduate scheme?

I don't think you should worry about a particular framework / language / tech stack until you know what team you'll be in. I was most confident in Python but I'm in a team that uses a software I'd never heard of - and though that may sound a bit daunting leaving it until last minute, they understand you may not know things and allow you plenty of time and support to train

Some other grads have been placed in teams where they're using tech they already knew and they're still having to learn new things. The business will place you somewhere they feel you can thrive, be that in a team that uses a technology you're an expert in - because they feel you'll bring value, or a team where they think they can stretch you by learning new things :)

Thanks for the response, that is great to hear. Does LBG provide us with the opportunity to get certifications such as AWS?

I just noticed that there will be an additional technical coding interview on top of the coding test, what would you rate the difficulty level for these question?

Regarding the part on the certification, indeed some graduates in my team are taking part of a Cloud Engineering Bootcamp with the objective in being certified for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

RE: additional tech assessment. If it's the same case as it was for me last year, there is the coding test where you get 3(?) coding challenges to complete in a virtual environment, then the second technical test (within the assessment day) is more to do with your understanding of coding and practices
