Hi Jiesen, thank you for your message! You will be provided with a number of tools and resources from day 1 to practice your skills and gain a better understanding of tools and software that your team works with.

I wouldn't say that there is a dedicated training programme that needs to be completed before you start working with your team and on real projects, but rather that the training and learning happens in parallel with working with your team

However, that doesn't mean that you are expected to know how everything works or be proficient in what your team does, the purpose of the scheme is to develop your skills and help you learn so you'll have plenty of support and time to work on the skills that you want to improve or even take up something that interests you and might be used to contribute to your team's objectives :)

So in a way it is learning while working on team projects and patch the knowledge gaps when you discover them?

That goes without saying that you will go through general training relevant to Lloyds Banking Group that will introduce you to the organisation, how everything works, your role, benefits and any other general information that will help you start your journey

In terms of technical skills, yes. You will, of course, be assigned tasks that will either reflect skills you already have and/or tools, languages you are familiar with or if you are assigned something that you are not familiar with, it will be to help you develop new skills and you'll have support to help you familiarise with it

Hey, just realised I haven't mentioned that as part of the graduate scheme, you will work towards some professional qualifications such as DevOps Foundations, Azure Fundamentals and Modern Engineering Accelerator that will be very helpful for your role not only in your first placement but throughout the graduate scheme :)
You will also have access to platforms such as Pluralsight and Percipio to support your learning journey.
