Its quite subjective. But I've been on the placement scheme for 5 months now and what I feel is the best way to impress ppl in your team is just working on your stuff. Running into problems and issues while working is alright what matters the most is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. As long you have that and your team can see that then in my opinion you are doing a good job. You can always lean new technologies and framework what matters is the kind of mindset you bring to work
