How did you get involved in your role?

I applied for the Risk Graduate Scheme in my final year of university! I'm currently in my first placement which LBG's People and Places Team chose for me. For my next placement, I actively looked at the teams that are in the city I'm based, looked at what skills I wanted to develop and then matched them up. For me, I wanted to do something that would improve my soft skills such as stakeholder management and communication. I then set up meetings with a few teams that I was interested in, and put in my preference for them as a placement.

My advice is: speak to as many teams as possible, set up shadowing days and follow what interests you!
