As a Data Scientist we had a 2 month bootcamp which was a great way to get everyone up to speed and learn the necessary skills for the job. Once actually working in teams you're treated as another colleague so the learning and exposure is great in that sense too. One big advantage of the grad scheme is you get rotated around 3 different teams, so get exposure to a number of different parts of the bank/people/skills. On top of this all the bank is very supportive of colleagues training/up skilling, so you can find courses to do and set aside time to learn yourself too (in fact part of the grad scheme includes a paid for professional qualification by lloyds)

That does sound great. In terms of the support offered to you, is this on a one to one type of training, or always as a group?

The bootcamp was done in a group setting (but the cohort was relatively small, so it was a good ratio). One to one training usually comes when your working on a project, and other colleagues up skill you in a certain area
