HR Generalist Graduate
Hi Scarlett, a day in the life of an HR graduate can be quite dynamic and varied, offering a mix of tasks and responsibilities - this is because we change our placement every 6 months, and each role will require different skills. Here are some of the things you might expect:
• Team Meetings: during team meetings, we discuss priorities and updates. This helps align everyone on the current focus and any changes in plans.
• Project Work: dive into ongoing projects, such as developing new HR policies, working on new learning propositions etc. This could involve collaborating with different departments and stakeholders.
• One-on-One Meetings: regular catchups with your manager to discuss your progress, get feedback, and seek guidance on any challenges you're facing.
• Networking: there are many opportunities to connect with other HR graduates or colleagues, sharing insights and experiences. Building a strong network can be invaluable for your career growth.
• Data Analysis: preparing and automating people data processes. This could involve creating dashboards or reports to provide insights to other colleagues and senior leaders.
• HR Operations/Partnering: Handling employee queries, assist with performance management processes, or support DE&I initiatives.
• Professional Development: Attend training sessions to broaden your knowledge, such as CIPD Qualification.
